Ans:- The Yoga Institute is recognised
as a training Institute by the Education Department of the
Govt. of India. The IBY is recognized as a research body
by CIRO
As regards recognition by Yoga association in other countries
you will have to make inquiries with them we will be happy
to help.
- How to reach the Yoga Institute?
Ans:- 1. By Road –
(i) Come to east side by Milan Subway – take right
continue down the road – take right at BMC (H east)
ward office – continue down the road till end. Where
the prominently displayed Yoga Institute boards will guide
you. (ii) Coming by western express highway turn towards
Santacruz station – take first right towards Reliance
energy office continue down road till BMC (H east) ward
office on left hand side. Turn left – continue down
the road till end – the Yoga Institute Board will
be seen.
2. By Train – Alight at Santacruz
railway station. Take last bridge towards Borivili end to
east walk parallel to railway lines towards Vile Parle.
Its only a 5 minutes walk from station. The Yoga Institute
is prominent on R.H.S.
3. By Air – (i) Domestic –
Mumbai Domestic airport is the nearest. Prepaid Taxis are
available from airport to The Yoga Institute. 15 minutes
drive from airport. Turn towards Santacruz railway station
follow road directions as above.
(ii) International – Chatrapti Shivaji international
airport is the nearest also called Mumbai international
airport – prepaid taxis are available for Santacruz
– airport staff speak fluent English are helpful –
30 minutes drive from International airport towards town
– Turn off western express highway towards Santacruz
station – follow road directions as above.

- Could you suggest alternate accommodation
near the Institute?
Ans:- Hotels Galaxy, Airport inn, Yatri,
Accord, Midland are present close to the Institute. However
for further details you will have to look up their websites.
Alternate cheaper accommodation in the form of rented place
or paying guest is also available but we cannot help you
with this.
- I am pregnant & want to learn
Yoga, please advise.
Ans:- Between the 3rd & 8th month of
your pregnancy visit us any Saturday fo the Samattvam session
with all your reports. Doctors & Yoga experts will study
your case, speak with your & advice you further. You
can also register for a 2 days camp for pregnancy ante /
post natal at the Institute. After the camp you can continue
your regular practice by joining any of our daily classes
or through Home Tuitions.
- I have a “health problem”
I have been advised by my doctor to do Yoga. How should
I go about it?
Ans:- Please first come for our Samattvam
session. All your queries and problems will be addressed.
- Do you sell Yoga props, Yoga mats,
Jalneti Pots?
Ans:- No – Yoga is beyond accessories
& we at the Institute believe in being self reliant
in our sadhana.
- What should I bring long for my
Class?
Ans:- Only carry some writing material
for taking notes wear comfortable, loose clothing.
- I wish to do the 7 days Health
Camp?
Ans:- First apply by filling up an application
form as is available on our website. After going through
the biographical details furnished by you we will be able
to confirm whether the 7 day camp is suitable for you or
not. Please apply at least 2 months in advance.
- I wish to do the 1 Month Teachers
Training?
Ans:- To enroll for the 1 Month Teacher
Training you simply have to be present on the 1st of any
month by 9.00 a.m. Registration & fee collection will
be done on the spot.
- I wish to learn meditation?
Ans:- We do not have any have any separate
classes for meditation. However in our various camps &
classes we teach various techniques conducive to meditation.
- Are there special classes for Pranayama?
Ans:- We do not have any special classes
for Pranayama. However in our various camps & classes
we teach various simplified Pranayama. Since Yoga is a holistic
science and cant be restricted to only one aspect like the
Pranayama.
