The Carvaka (materialists) of ancient India would say “Eat, drink and be merry, who has seen the tomorrow.” An idealistic like Sankaracarya will portray a perfect concept of pure consciousness being the only reality and the material objects being unreal like a ‘dream’

In Yoga we do not consider the material world and our daily life as an illusion. It is all real. However we believe that the state of absolute consciousness is the end result of all our material endeavors. First Bhoga, or material experiences and than Apavarga or freedom.

We cannot escape from the material reality – our body, our home, our family, our social and worldly existence .We live through it and then grow out of it.

A stage is reached when we have seen enough. We have as if seen through this game of material existence .We look for something ‘more’, this more is in the nature of establishing ourselves permanently in a state of unpolluted awareness - absolute consciousness.

Later on after some years it came in the newspapers that Vishinivisky has invented a machine whereby he was able to cure many nervous defects by working on the navel region.

The Yogis therefore selected the nervous system at the naval plexus region to provide relief from diseases.

Slow constant growth: By Andrew Lewit
Most of the time even those that are involved in spiritual practice might feel as though they are not evolving. Sometimes inner growth, which has its own principles not necessarily related to our normal ways of thinking, is occurring. Other times, we are not really present at the moment at hand. We may be gardening, but inwardly we are intuitively observing Nature and learning.

In the spiritual journey Yoga also aims at wholeness. A human being with a mind, body, and spirit united in singular purpose and action becomes an extremely powerful person .An easily distracted mind , a lazy body , such characteristics does not aid in growth....
