| In true yogic
tradition the wedding ceremony of Gauri and Patanjali,
on December 2, 2007 was a quiet affair, with emphasis
on simplicity and sanctity of the wedding vows. Only close
relatives and friends were present at the wedding. The
basic vedic Hindu rituals were followed and the actual
ceremony lasted for less than half an hour. The Sanskrit
Mantras chanted during the ceremony were promptly translated
into English for the benefit of all present. This ensured
that everyone was aware of the significance of the ritual,
and participated in making the occassion more meaningful.
This was followed by a special sattvik lunch. |
